I purchased a 182 Suzuki 750cc motor bike about 10 years ago. The stock carburetors were nothing more than trash. They are of a type called “constant velocity carbs” which means they use a series of fine springs and bellows to act as a 2 stage throttle. It’s a complicated system that constantly needs to be re-tuned. I originally replaced the carbs with a set from a Honda 750. The bike ran much better but I thought adding fuel injection would be a fun project. The system is throttle-by-wire, which means the throttle is connected to a sensor instead of a cable. The CPU reads the throttle setting and then determines the best way to achieve acceleration/deceleration based on power demand.
