The blocks were made from 3 glued layers of oak. After the glue set they were cut to length and then width and height using a jig on my compound circular saw. Each face was CNC engraved then the whole block was lightly sanded. The next step will be staining and sealing. I’m using General-Finishes “Toy maker’s finish” which is non-toxic.

The numbers count from 0 to 9 and the letters start at A and go to F which allows you to count to 255 in hexadecimal
